From their intimate locations in Hoboken and Vosselaar, Affect2U offers residential and outpatient treatment for addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their intentionally small programs include daily group sessions and weekly individual and family therapy, ensuring continuous care and emotional attention. With a fast intake process and a focus on self-leadership, Affect2U helps clients address both addiction and underlying trauma for sustainable recovery. Treatment is available in both English and Dutch.
Affect2U’s 28-day addiction program at their Harbour House location supports clients with substance use disorders. Clients detox, learn about addiction and its grip, and develop skills in communication, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation. After completing the program, the clincal team provides personalized recommendations for outpatient aftercare, secondary care, or an extension of primary care are provided by the clinical team after program completion, and may include sober living at Affect2U.
Affect2U sees addiction as a symptom of underlying problems. Their holistic approach helps clients uncover the root causes of their addiction and learn to make room for healthy coping strategies through 2-3 hours per week in individual therapy sessions, plus approximately 25 hours per week in group therapy. Affect2U offers two locations for treatment, both designed with an elegant and warm aesthetic to create a homely atmosphere. Their Hoboken clinic welcomes up to 14 clients, and their trauma-focused centre in Vosselaar accommodates 15 clients. Affect2U guides each client’s transition from intensive admission to living independently. The aftercare package is customized with advice from the clinical team and may include individual, family and/or group sessions. Outpatient aftercare focuses on applying tools gained in treatment, continuing to process emotions and the past, and strengthening the recovery process. It is continuously evaluated and adjusted as needed to support long-term recovery.
